guitar strings?

my acoustic guitar has a couple of problems. When i set the strings to a low action, i play easily but they all buzz heavily. When i set them to a high action the sound’s clean but the g string still buzzes! what should i do to fix this. i have ernie ball extra light strings also everytime i change the action i twist the truss rod, is this bad?

You may need to raise the bridge on only one side to fix this, like placing a thin shim under the bridge saddle, (the bone or plastic piece of the bridge that the strings ride on) a thin sliver cut from a plastic soda straw works pretty good. Might also be a fret needing to be filed down.
Never adjust the truss rod unless the neck needs to be straightened. Look down the strings, from the bridge end, kinda like aiming a rifle, and see if your neck is arched or bowed. If it appears to have a “hump” that causes the neck to be closer to the strings, usually close to the center of the neck, it should be loosened. If it is “bowed”, like a bow and arrow, the neck is farther from the strings it needs to be tightened. If it’s straight don’t mess with it, and never turn it more than 1/4 turn at a time. Then give it a day to adjust, recheck it and re-adjust if necessary.

edit: keep in mind, turning the truss rod adjusting nut clockwise will pull the head of the guitar back, putting more tension on the strings, turning counter-clockwise will pull it forward, putting less tension on the strings
