Can you put nylon strings on an electric guitar?

No, don’t use nylons.

For a beginner, I’d recommend 9’s. Any brand, you’re gonna break ‘em anyway.

(9’s refers to the gauge of string, 9 being the thickness of your high e. Music store guy will know what you mean if you say you need 9’s)
